The Gift of Liberation: Thank You HARRY T. MOORE

Civil Rights Activist Harry Tyson Moore was murdered in a bombing on Christmas in 1951 in Titusville, Florida with his faithful wife Harriette V. Moore while asleep in their bedroom. The cowardly killers stole their gift of life 59 years ago. This was the 12th race-related bombing in the state that year. Moore pursued justice for the “Groveland Four” who were accused of raping a white woman in July of 1949. One of the accused was killed during the Madison County manhunt; another was killed while in the sheriff’s custody traveling along Highway 146, and a third was gravely injured as well.

Despite the harsh reality of the times, Harry T. Moore stood up for his people. Florida may have been a ‘tropical paradise” for some of unearned privilege, but for oppressed people it was filled with terror as racists routinely killed and maimed those simply trying to enjoy the gift of life. As racists distributed “coon cards” for the holidays depicting Blacks in demoralizing illustrations, Harry T. Moore continued to resist racial oppression. Many of these symbols of tyranny are considered collector’s items today and are prized memorabilia to those who hold onto their heritage of hatred against Black people.

The Honorable Harry T. Moore was born a native of Houston, Florida on November 18th 1905 and is today remembered with the Harry T. Moore Social Service Center. Located in Titusville, Florida the center provides outreach social services such as; housing rehabilitation, assisted-living for the disabled, family counseling and early learning services for the community and serves as a reminder for the sacrificial life of service and commitment to the liberation of oppressed people by Harry T. Moore.

He graduated from Florida Memorial College, taught in Cocoa, Florida and went on to become principal of the Titusville Colored School. A champion for change, Harry T. Moore launched the Brevard County chapter of the NAACP in 1934 to address the unfair wages and lynchings of Black people. 10 years later in 1944, he formed the Florida Progressive Voters League which enabled disenfranchised people to use the ballot to protest the horrible day-to-day conditions they faced in the racially divided South. A community organizer, his efforts led to him being fired in 1946, but he was not deterred. Moore continued his mission to improve the conditions of his people. In 1948, he was rewarded with the great accomplishment of helping the NAACP register 10,000 people in the state of Florida.

In the state named for the flowers
Men came bearing dynamite...
It could not be in Jesus’ name
Beneath the bedroom floor
On Christmas night the killers

The group Sweet Honey In The Rock immortalized Harry T. Moore with their song The Ballad of Harry Moore which has the infectious chorus “Freedom never dies.”

Is this the Do-Nothing Generation? Are today’s young people so dumb down that they’ve lost their will to fight against injustice? Perhaps all that time misspent playing video games, updating their status and trying to get their swag on has resulted in the most socio-politically disconnected generation ever…

As Sophia Stewart the Oracle who wrote The Matrix says, we must “reverse the polarity” on the liars who spread untruth. Speak truth to power. Do not remain a victim simply because you’ve been victimized. Once you learn of your affliction begin the process of healing by revealing your truth. Walk in that truth. Personify the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

A cipher is a circle consisting of 360 degrees. 3 + 6 = 9 which is the number of months from conception to birth through the chamber of creation (womb). This represents the circle of life. When someone takes on the name “Cipher” they are declaring that they are complete. They have been birthed and brought to fullness. They have raised themselves to ‘new life’.

The issue with DJ Cipha Sounds (aka Luis Diaz) is that he is a complete sellout to those who gave life to what he calls a career. He has used his “sound” platform to demean women who are the matrix of creation. To have someone whose name metaphysically represents the “womb of amplification” speak death against life givers is an unpardonable sins against the co-creators of what we call life. We cannot allow his utterances to go unanswered. He must be called into account for the damage that he has inflicted upon the gateways of young women by speaking death. This crime against our people cannot, will not go unchallenged. He must be dealt with in the most constructive manner so that we others might learn a productive principle. You cannot speak death against life-givers.

Cipha Sounds must be muted. His platform must be disconnected. He must be dismantled.

In the movie The Matrix the character Cipher betrays his comrades. He sells them out because he cannot face reality. Even though they’ve placed themselves in harm’s way to give him new and true life, he makes a deal with the machines to become a modern-day Judas. Why? He wants to be plugged back into The Matrix, which is an “alternate” reality. He wants to avoid the truth for fantasy.

Similarly, Cipha Sounds also wants us to swallow the “blue pill” of indifference. He thinks that he can pacify us with cleverly worded apologies to silence the cries of life-givers. Cipha thinks that we will forgive what is unforgiveable. We won’t.

Cipha Sounds has misused his frequency to amplify a death vibration. His negative words can possibly kill a generation. Everyday, he broadcasts misinformation from above on the airwaves into the impressionable minds of our precious young people who are below seeking guidance. Cipha has been assigned to convert them into dumb people.

Unthinkers. Robotic doers. Machines.

We must resist the machine makers. He is an agent that adds to the chorus of dissension against the Black family. His unfunny jokes add to the insanity that has taken a stranglehold on disenfranchised people of color. He is an agent of disinformation. We must not make light of this reality.

Create flyers and bulletins to post in the lobby of your building and distribute at local gathering places (bus and train stations, malls, etc.)

LET’S PUT THE PRESSURE ON…Don’t be silenced. Do something. Get involved.

Community of Faith Shook by Sex Scandal

BISHOP EDDIE L. LONG IS CHARGED WITH…Breach of pastoral relationship as a “sexual predator,” fiduciary misappropriation as an “unfit agent” of an organization, false representation characterized as “exploitive propensities.”

Bishop Eddie Long is said to have a history of singling out students of his Longfellows Youth Academy for sexual gratification. He’s accused of conducting “covenant” ceremonies with his “Spiritual Sons” to consummate his intercourse with them. During these candle-lit ceremonies, Bishop Long is said to use scriptural citations and bestow jewelry upon young males that are have father hunger.

Among his three accusers are 21-year old Anthony Flag, 21-year old Maurice Robinson and 23-year old Jamal Parris.

In 2001, Jamal Parris and his mother joined New Birth Missionary Church. Within two weeks of joining the mega congregation, Bishop Long gave Parris his personal cell phone number and encouraged him to call him. The lycra wearing Bishop was a charismatic presence with his tight-fitting shirts. Upon hearing of Parris’s disappointment with his father, Bishop Long offered to “protect him and never let another man hurt him like his father did,” according to court documents filed by Co-Counsel(s) Brenda Joy Bernstein (Georgia State Bar No: 054904), James (Jay) Sadd (Georgia State Bar No: 622010), Katherine Ventulett Hernacki (Georgia State Bar No: 727027).

During the 2004-2005 school year, Long began wantonly requesting Parris remain after service awaiting in his private office. He is said to have also taken Parris to his guesthouse on Snapfinger Road to engage in oral sodomy (“salad tossing”), sexual massages (“hand jobs”) and other sexual activity. En route Long would engage in fondling and oral sex with Parris requesting to be called “Daddy.” Long took Parris on trips to Arkansas, Charleston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New Jersey, New York, Orlando, San Francisco, Honduras, Nassau and Trinidad where they shared rooms overnight.

Bishop Long is also accused of engaging in sexual activity with other New Birth parishioners, employees and pupils of Longfellows Youth Academy.

In 2009, Parris began dating a woman and distanced and separated himself from Long. In June 2010, he reached out to his “Spiritual Sons” peers to determine the extent of Bishop Long’s inappropriate activity. Witnesses to his relations with Long include Andrew Momon, Antonio Render and April McGlaughlin.

In addition to being subjected to public scorn and ridicule, Parris’s injuries include severe emotional distress, mental pain and suffering and adverse physical conditions. Parris is seeking punitive damages against Bishop Long, New Birth Missionary Church and affiliated parties.

Bishop Long has responded to these charges, “I feel like David against Goliath. I have five rocks and I ain’t thrown a single one.”

Burning Down the Plantation

Dan "Massa" Gilbert, "Majority Owner" of the Cleveland Cavs Plantation

Dan Gilbert’s verbal assault and battery against Cleveland’s “former hero” is a sad footnote to the Cinderfella story the Cavs have been selling to fans for years. Touting Lebron as “King James” the franchise painted him as a ballplayer of biblical proportions that was without peer in order to fill the stadium stands. Now since Lebron, like many of us, made a decision to move on his former boss is griping about a damn 2-week notice.

Let’s keep it 100, how many employers give their employees 2-week notices?

You can come in on Monday and find out that “your position has been downsized” and “security will give you 10 minutes to clean out your desk and then escort you to the lobby,” to which most employees are expected to accept and do that sort of treatment.

As a working man who doesn’t make millions of dollars I personally was overjoyed to see a “worker” stick it the “owners” for once.

F*ck Dan Gilbert!

There I said it. I double dare you to ask me to take it back too. In fact, let me say it again in case you might think that was a typo, “F*ck Dan Gilbert!”

He can cry until his eyes are red for all I care. Lebron, like most people that “work” for someone else made a decision to move onto the next-level of opportunities. He’s not a slave that has to stay tied to a plantation that obviously is very ungrateful as Dan Gilbert’s 429-word diatribe bemoans. Get over your damn self already Dan.

He began a media rant with, ““He has gotten a free pass” as if he’s Abraham Lincoln. Imagine that. Gilbert went on and told the Associate Press, “…It's not about him leaving. It's the disrespect. It's time for people to hold these athletes accountable for their actions. Is this the way you raise your children? I've been holding this all in for a long time.’’ Hmm, “Is this the way you raise your children?” WTF! Dan Gilbert now sees himself in a fatherhood role because he took the slave out of the ghetto apparently.

The big crying fit seems to be about James and Dwayne Wade being in their prime and poised to dominate the courts for the next few seasons. Around my way we have an expression that is applicable here, “Don’t hate the player, hate the game.”

Anyone that’s ever wanted to fire their boss is likely inspired by Lebron’s bold move to leave the Cavs plantation for the beautiful landscape of South Beach.

He guarantees that “he” will deliver a ring to the city as if he actually has any athletic ability. This is clearly a display of arrogance believing that his money can buy what should and must be ordained by the Most High. He willfully placed himself in the position of “Provider” because he thinks he can use his riches to control people and purchase treasures.

To burn a man’s jersey symbolically speaks of a desire to destroy him with vengeance. That’s pride. To arrogantly suggest that he should be banned from the city is jealousy. A true leader serves the people that follow them by exemplifying an example of service to the greater common good.

And now...here's Massa Dan's letter:

Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert posted this letter on Cavs.com after LeBron James decided he was leaving for the Miami Heat.

Dear Cleveland, All Of Northeast Ohio and Cleveland Cavaliers Supporters Wherever You May Be Tonight;

As you now know, our former hero, who grew up in the very region that he deserted this evening, is no longer a Cleveland Cavalier.

This was announced with a several day, narcissistic (“this n*gg* is crazy”), self-promotional build-up culminating with a national TV special of his "decision" unlike anything ever "witnessed" in the history of sports and probably the history of entertainment.

Clearly, this is bitterly disappointing to all of us.

The good news is that the ownership team and the rest of the hard-working (kiss ups), loyal (controlled), and driven staff (slaves) over here at your hometown Cavaliers have not betrayed you nor NEVER will betray you.

There is so much more to tell you about the events of the recent past and our more than exciting future. Over the next several days and weeks, we will be communicating much of that to you.

You simply don't deserve this kind of cowardly betrayal.

You have given so much and deserve so much more.

In the meantime, I want to make one statement to you tonight:

"I PERSONALLY GUARANTEE THAT THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS WILL WIN AN NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BEFORE THE SELF-TITLED FORMER ‘KING’ WINS ONE"

You can take it to the bank.

If you thought we were motivated before tonight to bring the hardware to Cleveland, I can tell you that this shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own has shifted our "motivation" to previously unknown and previously never experienced levels.

Some people think they should go to heaven but NOT have to die to get there.

Sorry, but that's simply not how it works.

This shocking act of disloyalty from our home grown "chosen one" sends the exact opposite lesson of what we would want our children to learn. And "who" we would want them to grow-up to become.

But the good news is that this heartless and callous action can only serve as the antidote to the so-called "curse" on Cleveland, Ohio.

The self-declared former "King" will be taking the "curse" with him down south. And until he does "right" by Cleveland and Ohio, James (and the town where he plays) will unfortunately own this dreaded spell and bad karma.

Just watch.

Sleep well, Cleveland.

Tomorrow is a new and much brighter day....

I PROMISE you that our energy, focus, capital, knowledge and experience will be directed at one thing and one thing only:

WTF NEWS: Dallas Cowboy’s first round draft pick Dez Bryant was asked by Miami Dolphin GM Jeff Ireland if his mother was a “prostitute” because she conceived him as a teen and spent 18-months incarcerated on drug-related charges. WTF!

In my hood, if you go in on somebody’s mama like that you’ll get chin-checked.

According to sports commentator Skip Bayless, “no question is out of bounds,” because “these franchises are risking millions and millions of dollars on these kids.” Isn’t a “kid” a young goat? WTF!

Why is it necessary to continually make reference to his “upbringing” as if because he’s had a hardknock struggle that means he should be “extra” thankful that they’re going to make millions off him playing ball on their damn plantation!

Interestingly enough, while commuting this week I overheard an Anglo-Saxon remark to a Black woman on the subway about her child, “He looks like he’s very strong. He’ll probably grow up and play basketball or football. Look at those calves and arms on him. Yes, he’s a natural born athlete.”

Of course he didn’t expect me to ask, “Why can’t he grow up to be an engineer, doctor or college professor?” The look on his face was priceless when the mother said, “Yes, why can’t he?” WTF!

He quickly got up and exited the train at the next stop without saying another word.

April has been railroaded into prison and her child has disappeared with the court granting custody to the deadbeat dad - who isn't even a U.S. citizen. WTF!!!

CASE IN POINT: I know a young man that engaged in sexual roughhousing with his live-in girlfriend who “liked it rough.” He failed to properly discern that she had unresolved sexual trauma. This was foundational for her desire for choking, hitting and abuse during sex which she was socialized to perceive as being pleasurable. This guy was never particularly comfortable with this and mentioned his discomfort she belittled him as being “less than a man” and claimed a “real man would love it.”

Finally, one day when he tried to end their relationship, he found himself in handcuffs.

She waited until after a ‘breakup’ sex episode and then contacted the police to file a report. Imagine that.

On this Friday's show we'll be talking about how to spot the warning signs that she might be more than just a 'drama queen' she maybe C-R-A-Z-Y, that's right she may actually have mental problems that need to be dealt with and resolved before you try to take that relationship to the next-level.

Beware of those who hide behind texting and other forms of alternative communicating. This is usually a tactic used by a black widow to lull you into a false sense of security. They’ll typically text, e-mail or message you constantly to consume a lot of your time. If you are needful of attention, you will misconstrue this as healthy, but it’s actually a ruse. Pay attention!!!

Whenever conversations about man abuse are had there must be an interjection of woman abuse in the conversation, why is that? This is an indicator that the seriousness of this crime is still being framed through the eyes of others. As men, we have to take charge of this dialogue that affects our liberty and quality of life pursuits. It is absolutely appalling to see this passive-aggressive form of sexism that is disguised as activism. Let’s stay focused on the topic at hand.



Asking the right questions will enable you to determine if a potential partner suffers from a Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). Do not get caught up in the physicality of the Law of Distraction.

Listen to the way she describes her past relationships. Does she have baby daddy drama that she plays a significant role in? Perhaps she uses her children as missiles to wound her ex. Beware of those who simply won’t let the relationship end. If you’ve been clear things are not working out and this person continues to try to use sex or other methods to manipulate you into remaining in contact with them – be careful.


Document your contact with them. Save e-mails, texts and IMs on your hard drive. Keep a journal. Make certain to share your concerns with someone else who can later corroborate your testimony if necessary.

Don’t glean without your jeans. That’s right don’t let sex obscure the true view of who you’re dealing with. Until you’ve determined this person brings added-valued beyond the volume of their voice – don’t engage in intimacy.



WARNING SIGN – she watches you sleep and when you awake demands to know what you were thinking about.

Today's share simply needs to be watched to get the point. It's sad to see what my grandmother always said to me growing up "familiarity breeds contempt" growing up. The DNA of Man Abuse

Couples don't usually start out whipping each others *sses, there is a process that leads to this vicious cycle Having shared a similar upbringing as C-Breezy, like a lot of men that watched their moms endure abuse it is typical for many men to develop an aversion to violence. This is attractive to women that have been reared in similar environments. They are drawn to the prospect of being able to wield control over men that can be manipulated and controlled.


Typically a black widow personality type seeks attention and has an idolatrous relationship with themselves. Most will be fixated on hogging the spotlight and will oftentimes fight others for the mirror because they have an "all eyes of me" mindset. These attention-hungry individuals will oftentimes be drawn to others whose star is on the rise to siphon off their "it" factor like energy vampires. They will usually be jealous and respond with rage when they aren't the focal point of the conversation. Most practice 'me-olgoy' the religion of "doing me" and develop a god/goddess complex.


Just think about the characters portrayed by Eddie Murphy and Robin Givens in the movie Boomerang, both of them were black widow personality types. You might've seen them in the clubs screaming about their independent vaginas or boasting about their magic sticks. If this sounds like someone you're considering dating R-U-N!!!

I believe that Rihanna is a young woman that has not fully dealt with the roots of her emotional and physical abuse growing up in a hostile, dysfunctional environment. By her own admission, she has a history of exhibiting aggressive behavior towards men and even admits to expecting to be hit like her mom.

Perhaps you know a man or woman that seems to get off on being abused. If they want you to 'hit it' before you hit it...R-U-N!!! These are the types aroused by make up sex. There have been many eyewitness accounts of her being overly aggressive in trying to curtail Chris' interaction with other people, especially women. Despite being talented and attractive, she like many people suffers from low self-esteem. Beware of women that boast of having their "own house, car and jobs" these are smoke screens for dysfunction oftentimes. Lots of people that are in the public eye suffer from this desire to be seen and heard at all costs. Oftentimes they pay the ultimate price with their lives. If this sounds like you, get help!

People afflicted with personality disorders like BPD and narcissism, etc. show little remorse for their actions. Sadly, many of them will even be elevated as "survivor" emblems without people fully vetting their accounts and examining the roots they sprung from. Because women report their violence and most men suffer in silence the societal response is usually to side with the woman; even in cases where it's been shown she initiated the violence. The stereotypical response when a man is absued by a woman is "what did he do to her?" as if his behavior warrants her abuse. However, we know that the reverse is not tolerated. No matter what a woman does it is socially unacceptable for a man to hit her. Sound like a double standard? Men are told to "restrain her" or "run away." Women are told to "do whatever you have to do." This is a common problem that has led to many men eventually getting incarcerated and losing their lives when they "snap" because they can't take the abuse anymore.

If you are a man experiencing domestic abuse, get help. Don't suffer in silence. You're life could depend on it!

Here are just a few signs she maybe an abuser:
1. Fakes PMS just to excuse her lashing out (monitor and document her cycle)
2. Refers to your “little” friends, etc. condescendingly
3. Calls or texts and flips out when you don’t respond immediately
4. Makes “a real man would…” comments to wound you verbally

Don’t allow people to “play” with you in ways that you are uncomfortable with. Even if a person doesn’t physically hurt you while “playing” they are sowing the seeds to later victimize you.

Did you get “chick slapped”? Does she have a hand and mouth problem? Are you sick and tired of the physical and verbal abuse?

Many abusers will rationalize their violence as being stressed-related. Women abusers hide behind “PMS” and post partum depression (PPD) as the basis for their violent lashing out.

I oftentimes say, “Good head can give you bad credit,” and most folks chuckle at the realness of that statement. However, good head can also kill you as well. Just because she gives you “good” head that doesn’t excuse the reality that she’s a head case that has problems. R-U-N!!!

The Pattern of Abuse…
According to TMZ.com, “The first occurred in Europe three months before the February 8 attack. Rihanna and Brown got into a verbal dispute and she slapped him. According to the report, he reacted by shoving her into a wall. The second incident occurred approximately 3 weeks prior to the February attack. Brown and Rihanna were in Barbados and were driving a Range Rover. They argued, and Brown got out of the car, and allegedly broke the front driver and passenger side windows.”



CHRIS SPEAKS…
“There have been reports on the internet that I didn’t remember what happened that night with Rihanna. I want to try and set things straight.

That 30 seconds of the interview they used of me was taken from a one hour interview during which that same question was asked something like 4 or 5 times — and when you look at the entire interview you will see it is not representative of what I said.

The first four times – or how ever many times it was – I gave the same answer — which was that I didn’t think it was appropriate for me to talk about what happened that night. I said it was not right for me and it really wasn’t fair to Rihanna. The fifth time – or whatever it was – I just misspoke. I was asked, “Do you remember doing it?” and I said, “No.”

Of course I remember what happened. Several times during the interview, my mother said that I came to her right afterwards and told her everything. But it was and still is a blur. And yes, I still can’t believe it happened because it is not me or who I am or is what happened like anything I have ever done before.

As I have said several times previously, I am ashamed of and sorry for what happened that night and I wish I could relive that moment and change things, but I can’t. I take full responsibility for my actions. What I have to do now is to prove to the world that this was an isolated incident and that is not who I am and I intend to do so by my behavior now and in the future.”

Jay-Z Makes People Ask “WTF!!!”

A virtuous woman of God sent me this link: Jay-Z’s “Run This Town” and the Occult Connections by Vigilant

I clicked by and read the scathing blog against Jay-Z and was not amazed. I’ve written similar sort of blogs about others in the past. During my days of being a “Pharisee” I made it my business to “out” everyone that I discerned in my own was not “of God.” This was in my case a form of self-idolatry. I placed myself in a position of not being someone in the bell tower, but rather a clanging symbol to distract others from the specks within my own eyes.

On of Jay-Z’s rapping peers Prodigy of the group Mobb Deep recently added this gasoline to the fire, “(Jay-Z) J.Z. knows the truth, but he chose sides with evil in order to be accepted in the corporate world. (Jay-Z) J.Z. conceals the truth from the black community and the world, and promotes the lifestyle of the beast instead,” he wrote in a handwritten letter to URB from the pen.

Jay-Z says the song is “evolution and the progress” and is about “putting your flag down” when you “put your flag in the top of the mountain.”

THE WATERBOY… “Bobby Jay-Z is the devil…he’s not the devil mama”

Is Jay-Z in league with the “hidden hands” of power? Some say his new video directed Anthony Mandler (of Rihanna’s “Disturbia” video) “We Run This Town” which features a spiked hair Damsel in Distress Rihanna and skinny jeans adorning Mr. Super Ego Kanye West is loaded with symbols and icons that suggest his affiliation with some shadowy figures. Is it true, or merely him capitalizing off of nosey people’s preoccupation with his socio-political affliations? You decide here’s a link that offers some thought-provoking commentary on the matter. Again, we don’t hold a specific opinion on this matter, we just think it’s quite interesting the level of fascination some have with the lives of others, and we’re of course using this as a reminder of the importance of each of us focusing on the Most High ourselves.

The dark, hooded figures in this clip add an ominous backdrop to the visuals which I believe is done intentionally. Why? Young people are drawn to rebellion. Just look at the “little penguins” all around you wearing their skinny jeans uniforms in defiance to manhood by embracing androgyny as a fashion emblem. And of course there’s the “valley of dry bones” with young people’s fascination with gothic garb like from the interestingly named “Gnostic Wear” clothing line by Jim Jones of the Byrd Gang/Diplomats. People that are marketing savvy know how to exploit the impressionable minds of young people desirous of rebellious music, entertainment, clothing, video games, etc.

This is Hip Hop 101: Viral Angst Marketing

Anthems are big business in hip-hop. Movement music is what moves units. If you craft a platform that street families (gangs, etc.) can co-opt you have created a loyal audience that will purchase your clothing, music, video games, movies, etc. by the droves because it resonates with their group consciousness. That’s fitted Yankees cap becomes a “flag” for the local Crip set. Those fire engine red Reeboks become status emblems for the Bloods. We are an icon-driven generation, society and economy.

When the logo (word) becomes flesh – that is power in motion. This is why it’s important that each of us is absolutely certain that we’re following the Most High and not merely those in high-fashion or who are high-minded with self-idolatry. Whatever your emblem, logo, etc. recognize that God is God, period!

Every street family has a “Run this Town” mentality that fuels them to action. They desire to be seen and heard. Most of them form these families because they are disenfranchised and ostracized by those who hide out in communities of faith acting all “spiritual” and “spooky” pointing fingers while casting downward glares on them.

REWIND…When Jay brought Oprah to Brooklyn he was carrying a book by Eckhart Tolle who is one of Oprah’s favorite authors. He’s sported tees with the caption “Do What Thou Wilst” which is a term popularized by Aleister Crowley, the reformer of the O.T.O. (Ordo Templi Orientis) whose motto and dictum was “Do what Thou Wilt”.

Here’s my response to my concerned friend:
Hey Woman of God,

That's pretty interesting. Having run in the same behind-the-scenes circles with Jay since high school, I find this disturbing if it proves to be accurate; and hateful if it's merely someone with too much time on their hands and a speck in their eye casting stones. Either way, ultimately the Most High will judge him and each of us. I think that the most effective evangelical tool is to actually personify the character of Christ, not merely misuse the Bible out of context to persecute others with couch potato speculation. Perhaps my skepticism is rooted in the reality that this same man once stopped me from pulling out a pistol and firing at someone over a dispute with them trying to play me for my ex. So, with that in mind, I guess my opinion of Shawn Corey Carter, who folks call Jay-Z, Beyonce's hubby, LuLu's son is one of utter amazement at the level of scrutiny he has been subjected to for sharing his testimony, his truth with the world. Imagine if those who claim to actually have a relationship with the Most High actually lived and shared their truth with equal and great authenticity? Imagine that. Imagine if those of us in the holier-than-thou Houses of the Faithful & Grateful where we slap holy high-fives actually rolled up our sleeves and went out into the streets and invited the uninvited into the Banquet to be in the Presence of the Most High. Imagine that...indeed. So, when I hear, see and read things like this they serve as reminders of how important it is for me to be a living example of a man of purpose and not just another "mad blogger" that isn't advancing the movement of introducing peopel to the Most High with real talk, by walk real walk.

Thanks for the thought-provoking blog. In fact, I think I'll even share it with folks tonight (no names of course, I have a no snitching policy - lol). Have an outstanding day sis and remember the best way to see a blessing is to actually be a blessing. Let's reflect the love of Christ in our words, actions and deeds because it doesn't matter who's watching us...it matter who's watching all of us...G.O.D.

I remember when mixtapes were actually on tapes…not MP3s (duh!). I remember when having a DAT was more profitable than packing a gat.

Those back alley relationships that were forged have been foundational for what has become today’s independent-minded movement in entertainment. The mixtape paved the way for the grinders that are getting it now through social media. The mixtape was an early tool of “social media” because it was a platform where an artist like 50 Cent proved you could transform your street hu$tle into a force in the marketplace.

This was an era in which enterprising individuals learned the importance of “exclusives” and being the breaking ground for some of the most influential personalities and movements like Bad Boy, the Ruff Ryders, Roc-A-Fella and G-Unit, among others.

Learning how to sequence red-hot songs alongside freestyle “exclusives” created a synergy in the marketplace that required artists to constantly step their spit game up. Mixtapes gave rise to talents like Jay-Z, Tupac, Emimem, Biggie Smalls and Nas.

If you’re a small business owner (SBO) or entrepreneur, you could learn quite a bit from the mixtape hu$tle. Apply those tactics to your social media marketing mix. Having come from this streetwise heritage of experiential marketing, I’ve worked with many of the most renown mixtape, mobile, radio and touring deejays as a publicist, branding consultant, content developer and project manager on campaigns for lifestyle brands slinging everything from jeans, mobile phones and CDs to beverages, credit cards and video games.
