One of the most practical truths of the Fellowship of Faith can best be illustrated by an example culled from everyday life. For instance, people that are living in defiant rebellion often say to me, “How can God allow…?” whenever they’re faced with some avoidable tribulation in their lives. This sort of folly use to leave me tongue-tied because I couldn’t fathom how they were blind to the obvious – it wasn’t God’s will it was theirs.
A loving Father God can allow His disobedient sons and daughters to perish, the same way your employer will lay you off or fire you for failing to produce the work that you have been hired to complete. If you don’t work, you don’t eat. If you want to be blessed, you have a lifestyle of blessedness. Not sit around with your handout and your middle finger extended towards high heaven when you want and don’t receive your way.
Stop acting like God owes you something. He’s already given you life, yet you want to spit in His face with spoiled-brat arrogance ‘doing you’ trying to chase the freedom (which means being “free to make dumb” choices) offered by the world instead of getting FREE by following the Christ illumined path of the Way of Truth.
Let us pray: Father God, grant me the resolve to stand firmly on Your precepts in and out of season, overcoming humanistic rationalization and ungodly reason. Make me an all-seasons saint that shines light a beacon of righteousness among the aints. Remove from me slothfulness, pride, gluttony, vanity and all cardinal offenses against the Way of Truth. Chasten me to break any yoke formed that You have willed to not last, bring it to past. Give me the strength to endure all losses filling me with Your Presence, as I stand in the gap as Your child. I lift up this petiton in the Name above all names that is His Lordship, Yahushua (Jesus) Christ, amen, amen, amen.

Saint and Aints
Beloved Community of Christ,
Oftentimes in the sphere of social networking (myspace, facebook, etc.) there is often a campaign to silence the saints by aints that have ears and eyes that refuse to acknowledge the Way of Truth - Father, Son & Holy Spirit, which is why I am thankful for "thefaithspot" as a gathering place for us. However, we must remember that Father has not called us out of darkness to create enclaves of spiritually bourgie folks that have amnesia. We are to be consecrated and then go back out there to reflect the Light as Truth Bearers for the Good News.
I caution each of you to not form little cliques that blind you from the work that is to be done towards helping rescue the last, lost and least. Remember, that ALL of us are called out of darkness (even the unregenerate) and because you have answered does not place you above those that are still bound, it means you have been saved to serve the greater glory of our Yahweh, our Father God in heaven.
I challenge you to move beyond the pews and to go out and make disciples (not merely go out trying to hoodwink and turn "seekers" into tithers) of those desiring transformational change through the message of hope, peace and deliverance that is the FULL Gospel of the Kingdom (from Genesis to Revelation).
Let us pray: Father God, I ask You to surround me with a hedge of protectors from on High. Dispatch Your holy angels to wage war against the enemies of the Way of Truth. Break the teeth of those that speak falsehood and desire to separate Your beloved from Christ in community. Cast out the doubters and shouters of unspeakable blasphemies. Silence their lying, deceitful tongues. Fill my mouth with praise for You. Lift my hands in joyful jubilee at Your Presence in my life. Guide me with Your Holy Spirit, leading me away from the snares of the enemy. Gird me in the Way of Truth. Cleanse me of my sins of omission and commission, both known and unknown with the Blood of the sacrificing Savior, Yahushua (Jesus) Christ the King, amen, amen, amen.

Hear it for yourself
It's often be said,"You can't judge someone until you've walked in their shoes (sandals, or whatever folks are wearing at the time)." I agree.
Oftentimes people ask me, "What do you think of..." and I am simply struck by this as being a divisive tactic to get me to undermine what God is doing in and through the lives of others. There are many people of God that I disagree with, but I will not air out "family" business to feed the appetite of those outside of God's will.

REAL TALK: One of the most instructive tools of ministry is self-reflection not projection. The impact of this message in my opinion is greatly minimized because he fails to connect with hearers by drawing on his wellspring of personal testimony to get listeners to relate to his point-of-view. To me, it sounds like someone that was once a ‘man of sin’ (just like me) who has forgotten that he too was in the muck and mire. I pray that’s not the case and it’s merely the context in which these remarks are framed in absence of a full hearing of the message in its entirety.
Which is why we should refrain from making judgments based on soundbites.
I HAVE JUST ONE QUESTION: Was he witnessing in Sodom (hip-hop) to G-Unit? One of the reasons people peg his and others that preach about "prosperity" (God does not want us to be 'failures' but we're not all called to be RICH either, so some folks are reaching for a mantle that isn't there's to grab) as name-it and claim-it’ rhetoric is in part because disciples are hindered from wholly fulfilling the Great Commission, because they are trying to minister to ill-equipped believers that have been hoodwinked into thinking that it’s ‘All About The Benjamins’ baby!
I pray that brother Mason Betha's ear are attunded to Father's voice. I can only begin to imagine the level of adversity he must have to deal with coming out of the entertainment industry, just as I did (although I was privileged to be behind-the-scenes). It's not easy with everyone always presupposing God's will and plan for your life, without them actually having the personal relationship that you have with God.
Let us pray: Jehovah Rapha, El-Shaddai, Yahweh, El-Loheim, Lord God Almighty, Father God they call You many names, but I call You my Friend, my Redeemer and Deliverer. Quiet my anxieties, silence the destructive voices leading me to make productive, godly choices and live an instructive life submitted to Christ. Make me a living, fruitful witness that speaks what You impart into my spirit with consistency fervently. I pray that any utterance that does not come from You perishes or falls upon deaf ears. This is my prayer in the Name that is above all names Yahushua (Jesus) Christ, amen, amen, amen.

Have You Surrender to God?
Are you resisting the wonderful things that Father God desires to do in your life?
Stop frontin’. Even if you can’t keep it real with me, keep it real with you. Has God given you a glimpse of some awesome opportunities, but you find yourself hesitating and fellowshipping with the failures of your past? Welcome to the club. For a season longer than I care to remember, I was just like that. I held onto doing things my way and Father allowed me to wallow in a prison of misery and mediocrity.
It was like being in ‘purpose purgatory’.
I knew God had called me to greatness, but I was afraid because I had spent my life being prone to lateness. I was always “a day late, or a dollar short.” But then one day while going through some CDs to download to my laptop, I came across R. Kelly’s “U Saved Me” album.
Yes, I know brother Robert has had some moral failures and challenges. Yes, I know that he’s done some things that make many of you cringe. But guess what? He’s still a child of God. He still stands in candidacy of the sacrificial gift of Christ.
All God is waiting for him to do is surrender.
Have you surrendered to God?
Please take a few moments to download and listen to this song (or Youtube it) and allow it minister to you. Whatever your situation is in life, God just wants you to surrender and give it to him. I can’t preach to anyone about where they are or aren’t in life with all the nonsense that I’ve done getting to where I am. Lord knows I’m nowhere near where God desires me to be either. It’s a process. But truly, with all my heart, mind and soul…I surrender.
Let us pray: Father God, as Your sons and daughters we come to You in our brokenness with openness asking that You lift us out of furnace of failure and replenish us with the Living Water. Lord God Almighty, we’ve tried to do it our way, and it hasn’t work. O’ Most High, we know that You are Yahweh, the Way of Truth, and from this moment we desire to surrender our lives to You. We can’t do it without You Lord. You are the Knower of all things. You are the Giver of all things worth having. Father, as Your prodigal children we say to You that we want to come home. Indwell us with the Holy Spirit, wash away our sins of omission and commission with the Blood of our Lord and Savior Yahushua (Jesus) Christ the King, amen, amen, amen!

Is Hillary Clinton the Modern Day Jezebel?
This is volume ONE of a multi-part blog series that examines the political climate of this day.

Hillary apparently must have Blondie’s 80’s hit, “The Tide is High” on repeat in her iPod. Peep the lyrics:

As a man of God, I am encouraged by the restraint and dignity which Obama has conducted himself. Even though he has been attacked on all levels, he remains humble and committed to serving a greater cause than himself. I admire his tenacity and integrity, which demonstrate to me that I have much work to do in that area. He embodies the teachings of Christ’s Beatitudes in Matthew 5:3-12. Watching the example of his servant-leadership, the Holy Spirit lets me know my spirit is still too world-rich and I have to remain on the Potter’s wheel of change.
REAL TALK: I would’ve cursed Hillary and Bill out publicly and whipped their *ss*s privately by now for talking about my faith and undermining my dream (so pray for me, I’m still a work-in-progress).
Now, let’s take a comparative look at Jezebel and Hillary…
The biblical Jezebel was narcissistic. Like Hillary, her self-centeredness outweighed the greater good because of her “all eyes on me” fetish.
The biblical Jezebel was a false accuser. Like Hillary, who strategically sent out images of Obama in what appeared to be Islamic garb to imprint an image of conflict in the minds of voters attempting to goad him into ostracizing inter-faith supporters.
The biblical Jezebel operated by assumed authority. Like Hillary, who used her power-hungry position as her husband’s wife for selfish gain in the Whitewater scandal.
The biblical Jezebel was a bully. Like Hillary, who faced with the prospect of losing “offered” Obama the vice presidency to bow out gracefully before she launched an all out offensive strike.
The biblical Jezebel was covetous. Like Hillary, who repeatedly makes references to Obama’s ability to raise campaign funding without having to dip into his own pocket like she has.
The biblical Jezebel was a beguiler. Like Hillary, who has a seductive presence that disarms her prey as she devours them for her ‘Madam President’ at all costs agenda.
The biblical Jezebel was a control freak. Like Hillary, who has demonstrated severe control issues in mismanaging her campaign firing top-level staffers that refuse to allow her to micromanage their areas of expertise.
The biblical Jezebel was divisive. Like Hillary, who is willing to divide her own political party in order to laud over her own coven of “supporters” that fall in line out of fear of her retribution.
The biblical Jezebel offered a sanctuary from brokenness. Like Hillary, who married and consumed Bill, a product of the generational curses of substance abuse and domestic violence.
The biblical Jezebel was an emasculator. Like Hillary, who allowed her husband to be publicly lynched for an indiscretion a controlling, manipulative spirit would’ve known about beforehand.
Hillary, maybe it’s time to change your last name to Reynolds, because it’s a wrap!
LET US PRAY: Father God, we pray that You continue to be present in our conversations guiding us along the narrow path of the Way of Truth. O’ Most High, we come to You in repentance, humbled asking for You to commute our well-deserved sentence of fire and brimstone for all eternity. We thank You for forgiving our sins of trespass spoken and unspoken. Thank You for Your grace and unmerited mercies which You extend to us lowly saved sinners each day. O’ Yahweh, the Way of Truth, fill us with Your Holy Spirit to serve as our guide to holiness. Convict us when we become so self-centered that we’re no longer help-centered and out of alignment with Your will. Break our hardened hearts so that Your agape love can flow through our arteries removing the plague of bitterness, resentment, malice and strife against others. Use our words, actions and deeds as tools to demonstrate Christness to the lost, least and last. Dispatch Your angels from on high to surround our leaders with a hedge of protection against the principalities that wage war against the Kingdom. Protect them Lord God Almighty from the arrows slung by the enemy of the Way of Truth. Remind our leaders of the unavoidable truth found in the Holy Writ (Bible) which says in Ecclesiastes 9:2 “All share a common destiny – the righteous and the wicked, the good and the bad, the clean and the unclean, those who offer sacrifices and those who do not. As it is with the good man, so with the sinner; as it is with those who take oaths, so with those who are afraid to take them.” This is our prayer of petition we lift up to you in the Name of our risen living Lord of reclaiming the lost, Yahushua (Jesus) Christ, the King of Kings, amen, amen, amen.

Stepping Up
In life, each of us has a desirable destination. Planning and preparation determines how and when you arrive there. The eventfulness of the journey depends on your travel companions. So, choose them with discriminating taste. Be a well-informed traveler.
Se7en Steps to Rep the King
1. Reclaim your name – I am whatever God says I am
2. Walk with expectancy – God told you to, “Walk this way”
3. Refrain from blessing blockers – You’s a blessing blocker, mad at me…”
4. Talk with consistency – He said it, mean it, so bite your tongue for no one and shout “God’s unbelievable!”
5. Remain in His will
6. Do with excellence
7. Proclaim God’s glory
To grow thyself, you must know thyself. It’s time to focus on what God has called you to do, not what everyone else is or isn’t doing. Stop being nosey and go and get God’s glory.
Today’s male doesn’t need a remix, he needs a Hemix. The “He” they need to add to the mix is God. It’s time to be a man. Be a man of God.

Are You An Enabler?
Letting go is one of the hardest things to do in life. Especially if you’ve convinced yourself that whatever you’re holding onto has great value.
For most of my adult life I’ve been one who hordes things like a pack rat. I am of the ilk of Fred G. Sanford, a junk man. I collect the things that people simply discard. Why? Well, I’ve looked deep into the abyss of the problem to come to the realization that I’ve suffered from abandonment issues for most of my life every since my mother passed away. This traumatic loss has often led me to form co-dependent relationships with people, places and things that aren’t always healthy.
Case in point: for the last few years, I took a person under my wing in a mentorship capacity. We have similar business interests and once shared a similar working relationship with a former partner. On the surface, this was the ideal situation. We have a repertoire of common experiences. We are passionate about creativity and sticklers for presenting excellence in all that we do.
So, what was the problem?
Well, because I had a familiarity with this person I gave him a great deal of latitude and insight behind-the-scenes of my business. I figured that he could use my successes and failures as a template for his own business model. He was privy to trade secrets, confidential intellectual property and pretty much given carte blanche because of our relationship which encompassed both business and personal elements.
I offered and provided pro-bono advice and counsel to him on building infrastructure in his own business aspirations. He didn’t have much real-world usable knowledge on how a business should function and took a ‘fly-by-night’ approach to client prospecting. In fact, he had few clients, and those that he had seldom paid him on time or honored the agreed upon budget. He left a lot to be desired when it came to client service and operational controls, but I nonetheless took a personal liking to him and offered my help whenever I could.
Don’t misunderstand this person wasn’t totally unskilled and useless labor: he had added value in his area of expertise. In fact, part of our ongoing relationship was based upon a mutual agreement of him contributing to areas of my business in his area of knowledge and my continuing to do the same for him. The problems began to arise when I started to realize that this person was all ‘take’ and so-so when it came to giving. I would put together prospects for him and line up follow-throughs and then his true nature manifested itself. He began to be sporadic in his follow-through. At first I thought it was lack of business acumen, but it was rooted in something far deeper: jealousy and fear of success. He was jealous of my successes and therefore would sabotage situations to demonstrate this jealousy before projects could blossom into success. Of course he didn’t admit he was jealous of me, trying to sabotage my success or harboring any ill will, he would usually have some excuse that seemed perfectly rational to him.
Like for instance, the time I asked him to forward me a project for a client via e-mail by close of business and he didn’t. No, it wasn’t because he couldn’t, he didn’t. I called him throughout the day for updates and kept getting his voicemail. So, I left voice and text messages. I repeatedly sent him e-mails. But I got no response. I waited. And then I waited some more. Finally, despite being swamped with another project deadline, I left the office to go to his house, which doubled as his office to see if things were okay.
He answered the door disheveled with bloodshot red eyes and I could smell the haze a chronic (weed) before I stepped inside. I was heated, but I chilled to hear his explanation. I thought to myself, “He didn’t send me the project because he was smoking weed?” But, I awaited his response nonetheless. There was none. I casually asked about his day and he was evasive. When I inquired about the unanswered e-mails and phone calls he arrogantly said, “Yo, I’m not going to be putting all types of pressure on myself for this project. Besides they’re not paying me any real bread (money) anyway. I’ve got other things to do.”
Imagine my surprise. This was someone who was underemployed, without any real client prospects and trying to build a portfolio of usable experiences to cross sell his service offerings. And he didn’t see the necessity in being responsible in presenting himself in business. To make matters worst, my business was front-ending this project since the client wouldn’t have trusted an unknown with their work, and here he was placing my reputation and livelihood in jeopardy.
This sort of nonchalant attitude of entitlement led to my being embarrassed a few more times when I extended myself on his behalf, so I began to try to funnel books and audio CDs on business to him. I suggested resources to improve his personal to business lives. I even went so far as to offer him usage of my own proprietary business collaterals to get him pointed in the right direction. He took it all in, but I seldom got a sense that he absorbed it, because his productivity remained consistently inconsistent. Whenever we sat down for talks, I reiterated the importance of business ethics to him and tried to get things back on track, to little or no avail. He simply seemed to have a self-destructive streak when it came to success, despite always crying me a river about being broke and more talented than his circumstances revealed.
I tell you, I put up with a lot from this slacker for a long time. He agreed to do some projects that directly affected my businesses bottom line and just as always, he didn’t follow through. I started to develop a negative relationship with clients and his reputation for slothfulness became synonymous with mines. People began to align me with failure and half-stepping. It was not a good look, and I had to fall back to regroup. I was spiraling out of control because I hitched my wagon to a horse going to 5 mph to Nowhereville.
Before you enable someone to hurt your business be honest with yourself:
1. Are they a help or hindrance?
2. What have they done for you lately?
3. Does the risk outweigh the reward?
